The Qatar University Young Scientists Center has launched several educational courses for students during the summer vacation, as part of its plan to support education during the summer period. To enhance the use of their vacation time according to a time plan, raise their educational level, as well as develop their skills and abilities to enhance learning outcomes in all STEM fields. The center has prepared a set of summer workshops to be presented in June and July 2022, which are presented in both virtual and distance learning methods as well as in person on the university campus.

The center is offering four summer workshops this year in different fields and covering different age groups, starting from the fifth grade until the secondary stage. Including an "Introduction to Electrical Circuits" workshop for the primary stage, in which participants learn the basics of electrical circuits by building electrical circuits using simple electronics. They learn through existing project activities and then application in a final project to build a solar powered car. When participating in this workshop, the program provides the students with a package of tools and materials necessary to carry out the activities.

The center also offers another workshop entitled "Young Scientists", which is designed for primary school students to learn about the steps of the methodology of conducting research in order to enhance their research and investigation skills. Through this course participants will apply methodological steps to conduct research to design a solar cell. In addition to enhancing important skills such as problem solving skills, critical thinking, writing and presentation skills.

The center also prepared two workshops for the secondary stage, titled "electronics" and "digital electronics", designed for students of the tenth, eleventh, and twelfth grades. In the electronics workshop, students learn about the electronic components that are used to design electronic circuits. It includes various interactive activities that introduce students to the basics of electronics and encourage students to create innovative projects using electronic circuits. When students complete the electronics course, they can enroll in a digital electronics workshop. The digital electronics course aims to enhance basic knowledge of digital electronics, by providing students with extensive and adequate training on building digital circuits using various components such as transistors, resistors, and microcontrollers. All activities included in this workshop work to develop the participants' knowledge and skills in order to design multiple projects using digital electronic circuits.

Qatar University Young Scientists Center is a pioneer in the field of innovative education and has won several international awards, the most important of which is the 2015 WISE Award for Innovation in Education. The center aims to be a hub for all students in the State of Qatar, attracting them to the majors of science, engineering, technology and mathematics, refining their research skills and stimulating creativity and innovation. In addition to providing them with effective communication skills in its various forms and honing their leadership personality, by project-based learning, a student-centered teaching method that includes a dynamic classroom approach where students gain deeper knowledge by exploring real challenges and problems. The center also seeks, with its programs, to bridge the gap that students face when moving from high school to university.
